Steinzeug-Keramo has had its products and production processes certified. The Cradle to Cradle certified® Bronce certificate documents our commitment to the environment and is a confirmation of our sustainability-oriented product philosophy.
With standard production processes, materials often end up "dead" – i.e. in the dustbin or in an incinerator. Limited natural resources are irrevocably lost in the process. The environment is heavily burdened and future generations have to pay the price. For a long time, people have sought to make improvements within this system. But, despite recycling and waste reduction, it remains a system that only thinks as far as the dustbin, and is willing to accept garbage and waste.
But it doesn't have to be that way. In the Cradle to Cradle Certified® system, products circulate in a continuous cycle of materials.
What does CRADLE TO CRADLE CERTTIFIED® mean?
Cradle to Cradle Certified® means that everything is planned from the start to ensure that nothing ends up as garbage. Each component continues its service, becoming a raw material for another new product in a system that profits industry, the economy and consumers alike.
At the same time, the Cradle to Cradle® principle itself has been copied from nature. Every years, a tree produces thousands of flowers and leaves. When they fall to the ground, they continue to offer numerous benefits. Over time, they are decomposed by microorganisms, animals and weather, releasing new nourishment in the process – for the tree itself, and for other plants as well.
